Time to sign up for camp - we have camps scheduled all the way through
Summer 2027 to make it easy for you to plan ahead.
These camps are great for:
- Kids who've never done karate before but want to find out about more.
- Beginners - our white, yellow, orange and purple belts.
- Advanced Karate Kids - our blue, green, brown and Junior Black Belts.
- Juniors age 7 to 12.
- Little Dragons age 4 to 6.
Karate Camps are your chance to learn new skills or to make current skills stronger!
We'll have a ton of fun, with lots of breaks for fun, friends, relaxation and recharging.
We include morning snack, afternoon snack and lunch. <Sample Menu>
Each camp and each day of camp has a theme, intended to build skill throughout the week and the summer. Here's a sample schedule, but each camp is a bit different.
Monday: Basics Review, with work on kicks, strikes, blocks, how to stand and how to move.
Tuesday: We work on hands! Boxing and hand strikes, plus Sparring for anyone with gear.
Wednesday: We build on the Basics with focused work on Techniques & Forms.
Thursday: Lots of games and drills to hone the skills from the first three days.
Friday: We review. We may have a Belt Test. Lots of fun and games to end the week.
Our camps are always full, for two main reasons:
First, our camps are AWESOME! Kids come back to camp over and over again, learning Karate & Parkour Skills. These are skills camps, and kids love it when they learn new skills or sharpen old skills
And Second - we keep them small. If you get too many kids in camp, it's hard to get much done. We limit the size of our camps so we can get more done. We even do a Belt Tests on Fridays of our week-long camps and kids get promoted to the next belt!
Because our camps fill quickly, payment is due at the time of registration to reserve your child's spot. This allows us to prepare for every camper and provide the best experience possible. If your plans change at the last minute, you can use your camp days another time. Camp days never expire, and you can use them for any kid who wants to come to camp.
One week of camp is $395.
Get more weeks at once and receive a built-in discount:

Or you can simply reserve your camps and we'll contact you soon to arrange payments.
Remember, your reservation is not complete until camp fees are paid. We keep camps small for a better experience, so we want to make sure that campers are serious about coming. Paying the camp fee is the best way to do that. If your plans change, you can use your camp days on other camps. They never expire, and you can use them for any camper.
Camp Guidelines
We want every camper to have a fun, safe, and memorable experience! Please review the following guidelines before registering.
Who Can Attend
Our camps are designed for children within the advertised age range who are excited to participate in martial arts, games, parkour, and other fun camp activities.
Restroom Independence
To help provide a safe, fun, and positive camp experience for everyone, Campers should be comfortable using the restroom on their own, including managing clothing and personal hygiene without staff assistance.
If you're unsure whether your child is ready, we'd be happy to discuss it with you.
What to Bring
- Comfortable athletic clothing
- Any required medications, clearly labeled and checked in with staff
- A great attidude
- Karate jacket and belt (if available)
- Water bottle (optional)
What to Leave at Home
To help prevent lost or damaged items, please leave toys, trading cards, and other valuables at home unless they're part of a designated camp activity. Not sure? Ask us.
Arrival & Pick-Up
Camp begins at 8:30am and ends at 4:30pm. We offer early drop off at 7:15am and late pickup until 5:00pm at no additional cost (just let the staff know). Please sign your child in and out each day.
Health & Wellness
If your child has a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or another contagious illness, please keep them home until they are symptom-free without medication according to current health guidelines. This helps keep all campers and staff healthy.
Behavior Expectations
We strive to create a positive environment where every child feels welcome and respected. Campers are expected to:
- Follow staff directions.
- Treat fellow campers, staff, and equipment with respect.
- Participate safely in activities.
- Use appropriate language and behavior.
If a camper's behavior becomes unsafe or repeatedly disrupts the experience for others, parents may be contacted to discuss a plan, or arrange for early pick-up if necessary.
Personal Belongings
Please label all personal items with your child's name. PowerKenpo is not responsible for lost or misplaced belongings (although we'll do our best to reunite items with their owners).

Kids who come to camp have lots of fun. We play games, watch movies, and we make sure everyone gets lots of time to relax and just take a break. It's a camp, after all. But it's also a skills camp. It's a great place for karate kids to get better at karate, and it's a great place for new kids to figure out if they want to do more karate when camp is over.
At PowerKenpo, we do 'Skills Camps'. That means kids are working on Karate and Parkour and are learning the skills needed to move ahead in both. Our camps are run by Black Belt Instructors. We have detailed lesson plans for every day and every week, and we're working to make our campers faster, stronger, sharper, better!
We'd like our campers to plan on doing the full week. If someone comes in later in the week and hasn't done the drills that everyone else did, they won't be as good, and they won't have the best experience. If you have to miss a day, we understand, but plan on doing the full week. It's going to be worth it. (*Summer Camps require a 5-day commitment.)
Friday is the best day of the week!
Kids love Friday in camp. Sometimes, parents show up early to pick up the kids and the kids get upset because they don't want to leave. Quite a few parents end up chilling at Starbucks for an hour while we finish up.
Why is Friday so awesome? Because we take all the skills we built during the week and we put them to work. We do a review with karate games. We may do a belt test, so kids who are ready can get promoted.
Several weeks during the summer, we'll finish the week with a water pay and some outdoor fun!
When kids walk out on Friday, they're wiped out. We work hard, we play hard, and we learn a lot!

Karate! Parkour! Self-Defense! Anti-Bully Skills! Leadership Skills! Movement and Motor Skills. There's so much to do that we sometimes wish we had longer weeks to get it all done!
The Menu
We provide morning snack, afternoon snack, and lunch for our campers. You can sent your own food or snacks, or additional food and snacks, just in case, but even the pickiest eaters usually love our menu. We put time and energy into our food in camp because we need fuel to keep us going, and because of the social element of sharing a meal together.
We are a PEANUT AWARE camp. We do not serve them. Please do not sent peanut products, including peanut butter, to camp.
Below - some of the things we include in our snacks and lunches. We usually do one thing at a time. Campers get a variety of food during the week so it stays interesting and fun.

- Milk & Cookies
