At PowerKenpo, we work on Leadership Skills in every class.
Leadership is important. If a child is on a team or in a club or group, and a leadership opportunity comes up, and they're not ready, some other kid gets to do it.
That kid gets the extra coaching, the extra playing time, the extra mentoring, and your child might have a hard time catching up.
We don't want out Karate Kids to miss the bus because they weren't ready when they got a chance.
We work on all the usual karate skills - kicking, punching, blocking, moving. That translates into strength, endurance, flexibility, better motor skills. But it's the Leadership training that can really make a difference.
